As Test Card 'D & E' used the same basic pattern, the
shortcomings of the latter also afflicted the former… This revised version was introduced in 1967. The contrast of the frequency gratings was increased and the two spots either side of the 'D' were added. These modifications could also have been applied to 'E' to make it acceptable, but by that time plans for Test Card 'F' were well advanced… |
